Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Francis Hwang from Auckland will complete a Masters of Public Policy specialising in Health and Urban Policy at Brandeis University in Waltham, Massachusetts. Francis graduated with a BE (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland in 2015.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Natasha Ironside from Nelson will research an automated tool for the analysis of head scans in patients with brain bleeds at Columbia University in New York City, New York towards a BMedSci (Hons) at the University of Auckland. Natasha graduated with an MBChB from the University of Auckland in 2017.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Jeremy Lee-Hand from Dunedin will complete a PhD in Physics specialising in Condensed Matter at Stoney Brook University in New York. Jeremy graduated with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Otago in 2015.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Nicholas Goodson from Wellington will complete a Master of Science in Aeronautics and Astronautics at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. Nick graduated with a BE (Hons First Class) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury in 2019.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Ryan Meachen, from Heretaunga Hastings, will research organisational behaviour, leadership theory and wellbeing science at the Leadership and Happiness Laboratory at the Harvard Kennedy School, Cambridge, Massachusetts. Ryan graduated with an MBA from Te Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington in 2020, where he is currently a PhD student, exploring how individuals fulfill their potential by striving towards becoming their ideal self.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Guy Jones from Tauranga will complete a Masters of Law specialising in Information Privacy at Columbia University in New York City, New York. Guy graduated with an LLB (Hons) and a BA from the University of Otago in 2013.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Sainimere from Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland will research healthcare experiences of families of Native American children with respiratory infections at Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Indigenous Health in Baltimore, Maryland. She is studying for a PhD at Waipapa Taumata Rau, The University of Auckland. Sai graduated with an MBChB from the University of Otago in 2002, a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the Fiji School of Medicine in 2006 and an MPH (Distinction) from the University of Otago in 2011. She is a Fellow of the New Zealand College of Public Health Medicine.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Kate Turner from Dunedin will complete a PhD in Geophysics specialising in sea ice geophysics within a collaborative research environment of scientific and indigenous knowledge at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. Kate graduated with a BSc from the University of Otago in 2010, and a BSc (Hons) from Victoria University of Wellington in 2015.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Hanareia Ehau-Taumaunu Ngāti Uepōhatu, Ngāti Porou, Te ātiawa, Te Whānau-a-āpanui, Ngāpuhi Hanareia Ehau-Taumaunu from Ruatorea will complete a PhD specialising in plant pathology at Penn State University in State College, Pennsylvania. Hanareia graduated with a BSc/BA Conjoint in 2015, and an MSc (Hons) in 2017 from the University of Auckland.

Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award Lizzie Christmas from Rotorua will complete a Masters in Law specialising in Law, Technology, and Entrepreneurship at Cornell Tech in New York City, New York. Lizzie graduated with an LLB (Hons) and a BA in Politics from the University of Otago in 2016.

Cameron graduated with a BSc from Victoria University of Wellington in 2014, and an MSc from KU Leuven University in Belgium in 2016.
