Application process

This award has a two-step application process:

  1. Online application

All forms and supplemental documents must be completed and submitted via the application portal by 5:00pm on Thursday 30 April 2026. They include:

  • Institutional Support and Reference Form
  • Leave Approval Form
  • Any other supplemental documents to support your application.

All forms are available within the application portal and must be uploaded electronically.

Note: You do not need to complete your application in one sitting. You can save your progress and return to it any time before the deadline.

  1. Interview
  • Interviews for shortlisted applicants will be held in Wellington in late May/early June 2026.
  • Fulbright New Zealand will cover travel costs to Wellington for the interview,  for applicants residing in New Zealand.
