A total award value of up to NZ$49,000 includes:
- Return airfare to New Zealand purchased by Fulbright New Zealand’s travel agency
- Tuition fees at your New Zealand university (up to NZ$11,500 – this figure is inclusive of GST);
- Stipend to cover living costs for the duration of your grant: NZ$1,500 per fortnight (for a maximum of 44 weeks) and a NZ$1,000 establishment fee
- Participation in orientation, mid-year and end-of-year programmes run by Fulbright New Zealand during your stay in New Zealand (worth NZ$1,000);
- A basic health benefit plan covering a maximum of US$100,000 per sickness or injury.
No allowance is available for dependents who will be accompanying you to New Zealand. Please note, however, that if your partner will accompany you to New Zealand for over six months they will be eligible to obtain a work permit.
