Campbell Patterson from Waitati is an artist investigating ideas surrounding housing and home and will complete a ten week residency focusing on film and performance at Headlands Centre for the Arts in Sausalito, California.

Campbell graduated with a BFA from Elam School of Fine Arts in 2007.

Simon Morris from Wellington is a visual artist researching site-responsive abstract painting at Headlands Centre for the Arts, San Francisco.

Simon is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Art Whiti O Rehua, College of Creative Arts, Massey University, Wellington.

Ruth Watson

Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Visual Artist Award

Ruth Watson from Auckland went to Headlands Center for the Arts where she made a sculptural and video installation titled ‘Cartographies of Dirt’, an ongoing project with elements from Australia, Antarctica and now, the US.

Ruth has a PhD from the Australian National University and is a Senior Lecturer at the Elam School of Fine Arts at The University of Auckland.

2013 Fulbright NZ Scholar – Visual Artist Award recipient Steve Carr from Auckland is a sculptor, photographer and film artist, and a Lecturer in Fine Arts and Photography at Whitecliffe College of Arts and Design.

Phil Dadson

Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Visual Artist Award

Phil Dadson from Auckland is using his Award to go to Headlands Center for the Arts in Sausalito, California where he will develop the project ‘Sound Stories’ a retrospective interpretation of a video project he started in 1991.

Phil has an MA (Hons) from West Sydney University and specialises in sound and video art with a special interest in acoustics and music.

Emma Fitts

Fulbright New Zealand Scholar Visual Artist Award

Emma Fitts from Christchurch is an artist whose work draws on research into the complexities of touch and tactility and offers new ways in which texture, emotion and feeling can be used as research methodologies towards a new kind of archive.

Emma is a Lecturer in Sculpture at the University of Canterbury.

Rebecca Swan

Rebecca Swan from Auckland is an interdisciplinary artist researching the nuances of interconnection and cycles of exchange from an ecological and community perspective.

Rebecca is a part time Lecturer in Contemporary Arts at Unitec.
