Fulbright New Zealand invites you to a free public seminar by current Fulbright US Scholar Sienna Baskin. Sienna is the Director of the Sex Workers Project in New York City, and is researching what lessons the United States can learn from New Zealand’s Prostitution Reform Act, at the University of Otago.
In this seminar, Sienna will give a brief history of the 2003 reform and its effects on sex workers and communities, and will contrast her observations in New Zealand with legal systems and the human rights status of sex workers and survivors of human trafficking in the United States.
Places are limited so please RSVP to [email protected] or 472 2065 by Wednesday 15 April. Feel free to bring your own “brown bag” lunch.
