Jenni Tupu (Ngāpuhi, Te Aupōuri, Ngāti Hine, Samoa) – Fulbright Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga Graduate

Jenni Tupu from Tāmaki Makaurau will research identity development from an Indigenous perspective in relation to traditional practices of kinship adoption, towards a PhD at the University of Otago.

Jenni graduated with a Graduate Diploma in Leadership (Māori Development) from Unitech Institute of Technology in 2005, a Postgraduate Diploma in Educational Leadership & Management in 2009, and a Master of Indigenous Studies with Distinction from the University of Otago in 2012.
