2014 Fulbright Science & Innovation Graduate Award grantee Elizabeth Chan was honoured to be selected as an awards presenter at the prestigious One To World 2016 Fulbright Awards Dinner in New York.
In recognition of her commitment to the Fulbright programme, Elizabeth Chan was selected as an awards presenter at the prestigious One To World 2016 Fulbright Awards Dinner at the Waldorf Astoria in New York.
She presented the One to World Fulbright Award for Citizen Diplomacy and Outstanding Service to the organisation’s Chair of the Board of Directors, Wenke Thoman Sterns. The dinner was attended by 500 leaders in business, education and philanthropy.
Each year since 1991, the One to World Fulbright Awards Dinner has recognised outstanding individuals who have furthered the Fulbright vision of international collaboration. The late Senator Fulbright was honoured at this event in 1993, and Harriet Fulbright has attended and served as Honorary Chair in his memory for nearly two decades.
While in the US, Elizabeth has been an active participant in One to World’s programmes to engage Fulbrighters with Americans and with each other. This includes opportunities to visit Americans in their homes, volunteering with New York non profit organisations, speaking with businesspersons in their office and experiencing the diversity of New York City.
Elizabeth used her 2014 Fulbright Science and Innovation Graduate Award for her Masters of Laws at Yale University. She has a BA and LLB (Hons) from The University of Auckland.
