As part of Fulbright NZ’s series Good Works, we were honoured to present this seminar by Fulbright alumnus Professor Rangi Matamua on Thursday 22 April, 2020, at 2pm. Prof Matamua (Tūhoe) is a fifth generation Māori astronomer with extensive knowledge about our skies, star clusters, galaxies and planets. As part of this fascinating presentation, Prof Matamua shared with us some of his knowledge and stories of the star cluster Matariki (also known as Pleiades).
