Fulbright New Zealand invites you to a free public seminar by alumnus Professor Te Ahukaramū Charles Royal, Director of Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga, New Zealand’s indigenous Centre of Research Excellence. Since 2010 Fulbright New Zealand and Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga have partnered to offer a range of graduate and scholar exchange awards in the field of indigenous development.
Charles received a 2001 Fulbright New Zealand scholar award to research indigenous worldviews at the Universities of Hawai‘i and New Mexico. In this seminar, he will discuss his own research into aspects of mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge) and Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga’s mission to unleash the creative potential of Māori communities.
